Where oh where did May go, golly I cannot believe we are already over a week into June. I thought it was probably about time I did a bit of catching up on my blog! Here are a few more creations.
This garland of hearts was made using Debbie Bliss Eco-baby organic cotton yarn. It was a birthday present for a very special 10 year old! The heart pattern I most like to use is this one here.
These are more bears adapted from this pattern, these ones were off to sunny San Diego! They were made from a new yarn to me Rowan Purelife made of a combination of recycled yarns including cotton and silk. I love the tweedy effect this gives. Not satisfied with bears I also managed to change the ears, add a snout and a little curly tail and turned one into
A Piggy! He was soon snapped up and given a new home. He was made from Debbie Bliss eco-baby fairtrade organic cotton.
And then this panda took shape as well!
A tiny miniture cat appeared next, he is only 2 inches tall!
A beanie hat followed for my niece, she chose the colours and size of the flower!
And then another commission came in for these adorable newborn shoes. Baby arrived just one week later on her due date, I have a feeling she might just be a perfect little bundle of joy. These are made again from Debbie Bliss Eco-baby fairtrade organic cotton. I got so into baby bits after this I couldn't resist making a little outfit to match. Unfortunately I cannot get blogger to load the photo the right way up but here is the picture anyway - all my own design!
So there ended my May makes. There was lots of work in the garden this month too. I haven't yet finished my bench cushions, the crochet is done but they need sewing together and stuffing! Keep visiting if you would like to see what June has already created - it has not been all about crochet!
