Bags of fun!

I seem to have a little bit of a baggy thing going on at the moment.  It started last month when I was asked to create these lovely rainbow drawstring bags for a friends charity Rainbow Horses.  They were such fun to make and got me using a few techniques that have been well neglected for some time.

I then got round to finishing these next two bags.  I made the granny squares for them months ago but never got round to the putting them together and lining stage!  I am really pleased with how they turned out and had some fun covering buttons in the same fabric as the lining to give them a special fastening.  The pink and purple bag is crocheted using Debbie Bliss Fair Trade Aran cotton.

This next bag I am very proud of.  You may have seen my post bag in June about reusing plastic charity bags.  Well here is my second attempt at a recycled shopping bag and I am so over the moon with the result.  I have also lined this bag using some fair trade cotton which used to be one of my daughters dresses until she wore a hole in it.  So the whole bag is reused materials, hoorah!

Now from the practical to the very pretty.  I made a doily the other night while I was watching the television not really thinking about what I was doing.  After I had finished it, it reminded me of a bag I had seen on Pinterest I went back and looked at that picture again and then came up with my own design for a little doily bag.  I am so chuffed with this one that I am already on to my second which just needs lining.
I am currently not adding things to my Folksy shop as I am planning to do a craft fair in October all being well, so am trying to build up some stock for that.  However if that does not come off then there should be plenty in my shop in time for Christmas!

If you haven't found Mrs Craftypants's Facebook page, then it would be lovely to have you drop by and like me.

So what are you into at the moment?

Happy Crafting x.
