Finishing off before my holiday.

Having just finished the blanket I mentioned in my previous post.  I have now finally finished my daughters bag - both my daughter and my niece share the same birthday - it keeps me very busy. I started this bag before I started the last blanket and it has been sitting in my knitting bag for the last couple of months just waiting to be lined.  I am glad I did wait as I had the idea a few weeks ago of writing a verse from the bible

Philippians 4:8

.. whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

I had made the bag thinking she could use it as a flight bag when she goes off to Barcelona with school in a few months, however as it turns out we are going away the day after she gets this at the end of this week!

Another good thing about not lining the bag ages ago is the fact that she is now the very proud owner of an ipad mini, so I have made a pocket for her phone and a pocket for the ipad!

I do hope she likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.  I'll be signing off for a few weeks now, but you can guarantee there will be a little extreme crochet going off while I am away!
