Valentine - Be Mine!

So, have you got a valentine in your life?  I am privileged to have had the same Valentine for 20 years this February 14th!  Wow where does the time go.  I have a few things left in my folksy shop, though you might be a little late to get anything that is posted before Saturday.

After I have taken down my Christmas decorations I love to put up my heart garland to make sure the living room doesn't look to bare.  I haven't got a picture of the ones that I have there, this one is similar, but mine alternate with white, red and pink hearts.

The heart pattern I use is on my Pinterest page, but here is a short cut to the pattern if you fancy having a go your self.  I have to say I think it is one of my most repinned posts on Pinterest!  What do you think of these other colours I have done?  I quite like the all white one myself.  They are all made using Debbie Bliss Eco cotton range which is all organic and fairly traded.

I also made some of these hearts for my shop.....

However when I came to photo them I put them on our shoe cupboard in the hallway.......

and my dear husband insisted that I make some to have there permanently as he thought they looked so nice - and he is the one who complains that I am going to end up crocheting the whole house ;o).

Another new skill that I have been practising since Christmas is felting.  I got this lovely felting kit for Christmas

and on my third attempt managed to make some lovely little hearts for my tiny bears to hold...

I really must make some time to sit and try some more things,  I have done a brooch as well for a lovely friends birthday......

I am definitely going to try and make some more of these and try out some different colours and styles.  I certainly don't find felting as relaxing as crochet though, but it can be terribly therapeutic if you are a bit cross to stab something with a needle without hurting anyone!

Oh, I almost forgot, I ordered business cards today, I decided to use Vista Print after doing a bit of research and trying out the different websites, though I have to say it really was not the easiest job I have ever done.  I shall have to wait until they arrive to decide on whether it has been worth it (both money and timewise).  Now doesn't that sound grand, next on my plan to take over and craft the universe is to find out where there are some craft fairs in March, do you know of any????

That's all for now, happy crafting xxxx
